Description:

The webinar will provide an overview to CBT, including specific examples of how CBT can be applied to a client with persistent pain. The complexities of pain, including how to screen, assess and understand the psychological drivers of pain and how to incorporate psychological factors into your conceptualisation of your client and into their treatment plan will be covered. Case studies will be used to explore both the strengths and limitations in practice, looking at how a range of health professionals may apply the strategies in their practice.

Presenter:

Dr Jacqui Stanford, Psychologist, Director, EmpowerRehab; Lecturer, Pain Management, Masters and PhD, Deakin University; Clinical Advisor to Victorian WorkCover Authority.

Jacqui Stanford is currently a Director and Principal Psychologist of Empower Rehab, who specialise in providing interdisciplinary pain management, as well as working with clients presenting with a range of psychological presentations.
