Dr Marie Feletar (MBBS FRACP) is a clinical rheumatologist working in private practice in Melbourne with a special interest in Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). Post-graduate training included a fellowship programme with the University of Toronto, Canada in 2002-2003 in PsA and Lupus, working with Professor Dafna Gladman. Dr Feletar has continued with involvement in therapeutic clinical trials and conducted investigator-initiated research in PsA, in the areas of imaging, genetics and clinical studies.
Description: Psoriasis affects 3% of the population and one third of these people develop psoriatic arthritis during the course of their lifetime.
Psoriatic arthritis is a heterogeneous chronic inflammatory disease with a spectrum of musculoskeletal features which differentiates it from rheumatoid arthritis. The era of biologics offers patients greatly improved quality of life and disease control. The therapies and co-morbidities of PsA will be discussed in this webinar.
