In 2016 we undertook an exploratory qualitative study for the Victorian Government examining consumer attitudes to opioid medications to inform future policy on pain management and prescription medications for people with persistent pain.
Consumer feedback on the current and future management of hip and/or knee osteoarthritis in Victoria

A model of care for osteoarthritis in Victoria is being developed with input from clinicians, researchers, policy makers and people diagnosed with osteoarthritis. This project has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Human Services under the auspices of the Musculoskeletal Clinical Leadership Group. MOVE conducted the consumer consultation in conjunction with the model of care project team at St Vincent’s Hospital. Thirty-six people previously diagnosed with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis were interviewed.

This report is a systematic scoping review, detailing the breadth of perceived needs of consumers with musculoskeletal conditions. The review explores the health information, health services and non-medical services needs of consumers with: inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis), osteoarthritis, back pain, neck pain and osteoporosis.
